The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
