The exciting extended clash that saw the Los Angeles Dodgers overcome the Blue Jays 5-4 averaged a aggregate over 50 million viewers across the United States, Canada, and Japan territories. MLB announced this represents the most-watched Fall Classic Game 7 since the 1991 contest featuring the Twins and Atlanta Braves.

It also stands as the most-watched World Series matchup since the 2017 edition final game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Astros, which drew over 29 million. This represents a 16% increase over the previous finale between the Nationals and Houston Astros, which attracted 23.19 million.

In the weekly rankings, Game 6 ranked 4th, the fourth game ranked seventh, Game 5 came in 8th, and Game 3 finished in thirteenth position.

In Japan, where the deciding contest started at 9 p.m. local time, it drew 12 million viewers. This came after last Friday’s sixth game – in which Fall Classic MVP Yamamoto allowed a single run in six frames – recorded 13.1M spectators, making it the most-watched Fall Classic matchup on a sole broadcaster in Japan.
